WWW- good research into the music video, representation and industry. Good use of narrative theorists such as Todorov, Medhurst and Gilroy.

EBI- I didn't explain my music video concept, what shots i will use, setting, characters etc- more detail is needed for the actual music video

3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your actual coursework production. Do you need to update your statement of intent? Does your concept/treatment offer enough clarity? Is it appropriate for the audience specified in the brief? Is it achievable to film in the midst of a global pandemic? Can you add media terminology or theory to your statement of intent now you have reflected on your presentation and seen others?

My presentation will help me when making my actual music video, for instance the research into the genre and artists that use that genre will help me pin point the key conventions typically used in the genre that i have chosen. Additionally, the research into the audience and the demographic will help me target a specific audience that is interested in the hip hop/ rap genre. I may need to update my statement of intent to include my plans for my music video in terms of what the concept is and how i will portray it through the video. I think my music video will appeal to a mainstream audience as the hip hop/ rap genre is increasingly growing among mainstream young audiences. Now that i have reflected on my music video i can include more media language terminology into my statement of intent. I will make reference to the types of shots, angles and movements i will use. As well as include references to the lighting, setting and audience representations.
